There are many ways to achieve higher page ranking. I have been perplexed for a long time on which ones actually work. Finally I figured out, they all do. If I incorporated all the ideas into a web site, I will be better off in the long run. I have never used any so called "Black Hat" techniques, nor will I ever. Here are some helpful hints on achieving better search results.

• Good Content - Good content in human readable format let's search engine crawl your site for relevant data. Do not try to fool search engines into looking at your material. They rather the content be for the end user and NOT for the search engine crawler.
• Good Title - It's a very good idea to have your main keyword or two in the title of your web page. For example. A web page about Antique Cars. The tile should read something about Antique Cars and NOT "Home Page"
• Metatag Description - Some say that search engines do not even look at the description. Why not put in in there. It certainly won't hurt
• Metatag Keywords - Again, some say most search engines do not look at this. Don't be fooled. Good keyword selection is very important to your exposure
• Keywords in Headings - Use h1, h2, h3, and even h4 tags to highlight your keywords. Search engines do look at these. Do NOT spam your keywords by using the same keywords in multiple headings.
• Highlight and Underline - In your content do highlight and underline your keywords. Do NOT do this multiple times because the search engines will consider this spam. Perhaps, once or twice maximum.
• Use of alt tags - If you have images, use the alt tag to show your keywords. Most search engines do not look at images, but they do look at the alt tags.
